    RECS from Domestic Solar Hot Water | NSW Australia Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs)

    Own Project | When someone installs a Solar Hot Water system, Renewable Energy Certificates are created. The person may assign their right to create the RECsRenewable Energy Certificates in Australia are issued by the Australian Government's Office of Renewable Energy Regulator. They are equivalent to one-megawatt hour of renewable electricity. RECs can be bought and sold both by electricity retailers and by other businesses in order to meet the legal requirements of MRETMandatory Renewable Energy Target. The Australian Government has a policy commitment of a 20 percent share for renewable energy in Australia's electricity supply by 2020.. to a registered agent who would normally pass on some financial benefit in return for receiving your RECs. Helping My Planet will purchase RECs from clients via the facilities provided on their website and on sell them to interested parties.
